Through the Rosemary Project, Citizens Advice Fylde provides practical support for victims of domestic abuse to empower them to make informed choices.

The visit took place as part of the White Ribbon 16 Days of Action, a global campaign challenging misogyny and harmful attitudes that fuel violence against women and girls.

The project received £5,000 from the Commissioner’s VAWG fund, which has invested a total of £177,000 into 38 intervention projects that aim to prevent violence, support survivors, and create safer environments for women and girls across Lancashire.

Following the visit, Commissioner Clive Grunshaw said:

“Preventing violence against women and girls is a Police and Crime Plan priority, and I’m pleased to be able to support local projects and organisations tackling this issue in our communities.

“By providing a warm, welcoming space for survivors, Citizens Advice Fylde provide vital support for residents when they need it most.

“As Police and Crime Commissioner, I will continue to support and fund services for victims of crime and hold the Chief Constable to account to ensure the best outcomes possible for victims.”
